Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing
Location: Ealing
Salary: 40,800 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading social housing team in Ealing on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their commercial career within the property services and social housing sector, with excellent training and career progression on offer.
The successful candidate will support senior surveyors and commercial managers in delivering accurate cost management, valuations, and financial reporting across repairs, planned works and housing projects.
Assist with the commercial management of contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and to financial targets
Support with the preparation of cost forecasts, valuations, and variations
Work on subcontractor accounts including approvals and payment processes
Help to prepare and review tenders, pricing, and cost estimates
Provide commercial support to operational teams across responsive repairs, voids and planned works
Assist in preparing monthly reports, financial statements and cash flow forecasts
Work closely with senior surveyors and managers to ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements
Gain valuable experience in delivering high-profile social housing projects
Experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (or similar role)
Knowledge of social housing, repairs or planned works contracts (advantageous)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other commercial software
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred)
Eager to learn and develop within a commercial team
40,800 per annum (permanent role)
